Operations & Program Coordinator

Galveston Housing Plus

Galveston, TX

Part-Time

$18.00 (Hourly)

Application Deadline: May 28, 2026

About Galveston Housing Plus

Galveston Housing Plus (GH+) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit operating David's House — Galveston  Island's first comprehensive transitional housing program for adults experiencing  homelessness. Our 18-unit residential campus offers individual efficiency apartments alongside communal spaces, anchored by person-centered, evidence-based services  developed in direct collaboration with the people we serve.

Since welcoming our first cohort in October 2024, GH+ has built a strong foundation: two  years of operating expenses secured, an engaged board, and broad community support. We  work alongside a network of social, medical, and service providers — all united by a  commitment to dignity, compassion, and holistic care.

The Opportunity

The Operations & Program Coordinator is a steady, trusted presence during evening hours  — someone residents can genuinely count on. Reporting to the Executive Director, you'll  build authentic relationships with residents, help maintain a safe and welcoming community  environment, and handle the coordination and documentation that keeps day-to-day  operations running smoothly.

This is a meaningful, mission-driven role for someone who finds purpose in showing up  consistently for others. If you are energized by human connection, comfortable navigating  complex situations with calm and care, and committed to the dignity of people on the path  out of homelessness — we want to hear from you.

Why GH+?

GH+ is committed to a person-centered workplace — the same care and dignity we extend  to our residents, we extend to our team. You'll join a mission-driven organization at an  exciting stage of growth, with strong financial footing, a collaborative culture, and genuine  investment in the people who make this work possible.

We welcome candidates who bring lived experience, community ties, and a shared  commitment to authenticity, compassion, and holistic service.

Operations & Program Coordination

• Submit a clearly written nightly activity report to the Executive Director. • Monitor adherence to house policies and applicable regulations.

What We're Looking For

• Associate's degree or higher.
